Weekly through Sept & Oct. Location for each of you, who covers Silvana's daytime, who's home at night.

Top toggle is where you're based (DC-only = Ohio then DC, Rob commutes · SF-start = relocate to SF, then DC). Sub-toggle is the start date. No nanny until you're permanently in DC. Assumes Claudia does UNGA, not Delhi. Norma, when she comes, does a fixed 2 weeks (Sep 21–Oct 2).

Worth knowing

5 solo-parenting weeks — Claudia holds 4 (Rob's SF weeks), Rob holds 1 (UNGA).
Coverage is clean if Norma comes: Margaret only Sep 14–18, Norma's 2-week block covers Sep 21–Oct 2, Laurie from the move on. If Norma's foot keeps her home, Margaret must do all 3 weeks — her absolute max.
Cheapest, and Laurie anchors soonest. A nanny to spell Laurie only becomes available once you're in the permanent DC place.
Flights this fall (round trip = 2): Rob 8 · Claudia 2 · Silvana 0 — you drive to DC, so Silvana never flies; Rob's four SF round trips are his whole total.

DC-only · Sept 1: the fragile one. Rob commutes to SF from week one, so ~5 weeks need cover before Laurie — three (Sep 1–20) before Norma is even available. Margaret can't stretch that far alone. Dates 2026.

6 solo-parenting weeks — the most of any plan.
No-nanny bites hardest here. Margaret is maxed at 3 straight weeks (Sep 1–20), then Sep 21–Oct 2 rests entirely on Norma's 2-week block. If her foot keeps her home, those two weeks have no daytime cover at all — you'd need Claudia to take leave, eroding the +$15k.
Buys you +$15k of pay, earlier ramp, and an IPO-gap hedge — if you can solve the coverage.
Flights this fall (round trip = 2): Rob 10 · Claudia 2 · Silvana 0 — you drive to DC, so Silvana never flies; five SF round trips for Rob.

SF-start · Sept 15: relocate to SF for the start, stay through the retreat (~6.5 wks), move to DC early Nov. Fewest solo weeks — but with no nanny it needs Laurie in SF from ~Oct 5. Dates 2026.

Priciest: ~$6–7k Airbnb. Needs Claudia remote from SF ~6 weeks. Oct 12–16 is the natural DC house-hunt window.
